Flextech currently employs 170 weekly and 34 monthly staff. High emphasis is placed on Skills Development and Empowerment through training and education. 95% of Flextech’s employees have received Adult Literacy and Numeracy training at Flextech through the South African Department of Labour sponsored SETA Programs.
In addition to the Literacy and Numeracy training provided, training is also provided through participation in AIDC Tirisano program sponsored by Gauteng Government and UNIDO. Flextech also provided “Work-place experience” and skills development to 80 “Learnerships” from Mamelodi College through the AIDC ESDELE program. More than 20 of Flextech’s employed operators have participated in formal Learnership Programs at Technical Colleges in Pretoria.
Flextech was recognized in the Department of Trade and Industry’s Impumelelo 5th Edition 2005 Top 300 Empowerment Companies for its contribution to Community Social Investment (CSI).
